FAQs

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my photography style as documentary with an editorial aesthetic, unposed and genuine. I am always after real moments.

How many photos will we receive?

I will always send every great photo from your wedding or couple session, but I guarantee a minimum of 50 edited photos per hour for a couple session and 100 edited photos per hour for weddings.

How will I receive my photos?

Your photos will be sent to you in an online gallery direct to your email where they can be downloaded and shared. The photos are yours to use however you like.

What is your turnaround time for editing?

My turnaround time is around 8 weeks for weddings and 4 weeks for couple sessions. I will always send my best work and I never rush through the editing process.

What is your process during the session?

While my style has an unposed feeling, there is a good bit of direction that goes into making beautiful images of my couples. All posing and direction are in the spirit of creating true intimacy in the moment and having fun through the process so even though photos are constructed, the feelings expressed are real and genuine.

Do you take any traditional portraits like family and group photos for a wedding day?

Yes! While I don’t post these to my website, we will always have time in our photo schedule to get photos with all of your loved ones. These photos usually happen shortly after the ceremony when everyone will be present or whenever works best for the official wedding day timeline. I encourage couples to make a list of every person / group of people they will want photos with so no one is forgotten in the excitement of the day.

Should we do a first look?

I love first looks for many reasons. The reasons that I think make a first look worth it:

-you get to spend quality time together before the guests arrive

-you will have more time and more relaxed time for your couple session and won’t feel rushed to get back to your guests

-when you do a first look, oftentimes we have built ample time in the schedule to go to more locations whereas if you opt for a post-ceremony couple session, we will usually stay close to the venue and you may have less image variety

-after the ceremony and family photos, you can go relax and enjoy your cocktail hour

-if you are having a late fall or winter wedding, your ceremony may happen as the sun is setting and you will lose the opportunity to get your couple photos with daylight

While there are many reasons to do a first look, this decision is very personal and should reflect what you want most from your day. If you dream of seeing your spouse for the first time coming down the aisle, you should have that moment! We will make it work no matter what you decide.

What should we wear for our couple session?

My best advice is to always dress like you are going on the same date so if you dress up or choose a more casual look, your outfits should feel like they go together.

Do you have any suggestions for location ideas?

There are so many fun and beautiful locations that you can use for your session. To get some inspiration, you can scroll through the wedding and couple blogs where I have listed most of the locations that we visited for every session. You can always ask me for location suggestions that go with your ideas and we can collaborate to pick the best places for you.

Can I include my pets in my session?

Please include pets in your session! I love animals!

Can I request specific photos or ideas that I want to include in my session?

Yes! I love collaborating and you will love your photos even more if your session reflects who you are as individuals and includes special things or locations unique to your relationship!

Will you travel?

Yes, I do travel! I love traveling for weddings a few times a year so please reach out if you’re having a destination wedding!
